This book includes a chapter per King/Queen through the ages and is a great resource for understanding royal lineage, succession, intrigue and drama. Everything I have cross-referenced in other books and articles validates the history. I use this book as a reference guide for all things royal-historical. I have read many like it, but this is my hands down favorite

I bought this book of #royals when I was working through Shakespeare to keep the history and connections straight. Also came in handy for beloved films Becket and The Lion in Winter and the okay book The King's Hounds. #LyricalApril
