I needed something light this weekend and this hit the spot. It is (not so) loosely based on Kate Middleton and Prince William with a heavy dose of snark which is not surprising since the authors also created the Go Fug Yourself blog. I am greatly looking forward the sequel which will be out this June.

Reagan I'm so excited for the sequel. This book was delightful. 3w
carys14 @Reagan I devoured it in less than two days! 3w

TrishB Only Q9.99 on kindle. This is my least fave historical era and I will be struggling. 1mo
Butterfinger Oh no @Trish Have you read any Georgette Heyer? She has humor in her works. It has certainly been awhile, but I am wanting to say to be mindful of discrimination. I can't think of anything specific right now. 1mo
Cinfhen Thanks, Jenny!!!!! Keep the recommendations coming 💗😘 1mo

Hooooly crap I WISH this was America now!! This book has it all: witty, real characters, LGBT+ and POC representation, politics, royals, romance... A few places actually made me laugh out loud, which I don‘t remember doing with any recent books. If you didn‘t read this book during the 2019 blowup, do it now. You won‘t regret it.

What. A freaking adorable. Book. This was my first Jasmine Guillory, and what an introduction! I loved the setting, the romance with conflict but almost no drama, the royal-adjacent situation, the adorable characters... everything. Yes to royal(ish) romance, and YES to more romances (and books) with main characters over 50.

3.5 ⭐️. Pretty cute. It started to take itself a little too seriously there in the middle. There was a plot twist the author couldn‘t decide how she wanted to end, but otherwise, it was just pure fun!

marleed I saw your post and immediately thought of Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret in The Crown. 2mo
