TrishB@Velvetfur I tend to go on message boards or similar if I really want to see/ask other people‘s opinions. The very few self help books I‘ve read I can summarise - have me time, eat well and exercise 😁😁5y

Velvetfur@Cinfhen Ah yes, I hadn't thought of that... Some self help books (that I've avoided) do seem to target certain types of people, and they basically look as if they're plagiarising previous books on the subject 🙁5y
Velvetfur@Cathythoughts Yes I agree, they're not totally 'helpful' all the way through, but I've read a few relationship ones that have been written by American authors so it's been interesting for me to read the differences between how US and UK people behave in relationships. If that makes sense 😊5y
