When I was in middle school, this was one of my absolute favorite books. As an adult, I can think of a million other middle grade novels that I prefer to this one....

My most recent purchase from book outlet has arrived! I already own book 1 in the Merlin: The Lost Years by T.A. Barron & these were all on bookoutlet for 2$ so I snagged the whole series (Expect 4 since they didn‘t have it) and finally made the choice to get Mage Against the Machine. And Strifes Bane is book 3 in the Shattered Kingdoms trilogy so now I just need to get book 1 and I‘ll have that whole trilogy since I got book 2 recently from HPB.

Sweetkokoro Snared just looked really good, and not pictured are 3 other books I snagged for my daughter but she already took them haha. (edited) 4y

Meh, at best. It just seemed forced to me. It wasn‘t a bad story to follow but the mentions of things he would have later in life that were supposed to be foreshadowing or clever were just oddly placed.

Day 19 I remember all the books I've bought so here's one that was my husband's that I got #dontrememberbuyingthis #aprilbookshowers @RealLifeReading

quirkyreader I just saw a copy of this book yesterday when I was shelving all the new stock. 8y
Andrew65 I like the fact Amazon tells you when you try to buy a book I already own otherwise could have duplicate or triplicates, especially of the free books. 8y
jfalkens @Andrew65 that has come in handy 😂 8y

This is one of my favorite books from my early teens. Great fantasy, and full of adventure. I've yet to read another story quite like it.
