so-soSo this book was really weird. Honestly couldn‘t summarize it even if I wanted to. All of the characters were nuts and the ending just wasn‘t satisfying. I don‘t think that everyone is super happy clappy, let‘s sing kumbayah and save the planet. But geez the antagonist‘s reaction was wayyyy over dramatic. Honey, eat a snickers. You‘re not you when you‘re angry
Good read. No sympathy for Olivia character throughout even though I wanted to like her. Not 100% satisfied with the predictable ending.
pickOlivia has written a book with the help of Vivian. Vivian wants to help with a new book but Olivia has other plans. Twists and turns through out the book.
so-soWhat to say about this one...a history professor (tv celebrity type) is tempted by a victorian woman‘s diary confessing to the murder of her husband- she was lured to it by Vivian- the keeper of the home where it was found. The story alternated between these 2 characters- both connected in a way you don‘t find out until the end. Beetles - dung beetles figure prominantly- weirdly and the end disappointed me. 3ish⭐️
Started this one due back to the library shortly. 20% in and it is certainly odd and somewhat confusing- told from 2 narrators Olivia a famous “tv” historian and Vivian- don‘t quite know what she is- they seem to have collaborated on a historical book based on a dairy of a Victorian woman- Annabel. Or maybe not- told backwards so I am just searching for clues so far. Something sinister is coming though!
pickQuick, easy to read thriller. Sort of guessed ending but enjoyed how it got there!
Only £5 hardback in Amazon at the moment - definitely worth that 😀

Today's books. The Folio is The Handmaid's Tale, it's for my daughters birthday in a few weeks, I didn't get chance to open before I had to hide this morning.
The other book is a £5 tesco bargain!
