Pete the Cat: Pete at the Beach
Pete the Cat: Pete at the Beach | James Dean
3 posts | 5 read
New York Times bestselling author and artist James Dean brings readers some fun in the sun! Pete the Cat is one groovy cat at finding shells and building sand castles at the beach. But when it gets too hot, there’s only one way to cool off—jump into the ocean! Except Pete might be a scaredy-cat when it comes to the water. Pete the Cat: Pete at the Beach is a My First I Can Read book, which means it’s perfect for shared reading with a child.

Lots of Pete today! My baby took part in her first school play based on Pete the Cat at the Beach and after dinner we squeezed in another book.

BookInMyHands I read Pete the Cat for storytime today, definitely a Pete day! 8y
EchoLogical @BookInMyHands He's the best! Kids love him despite his deadpan face and it completely cracks me up. He's like the unfriendliest character ever, appearance wise. It's so strange. Lol 8y

Pickpick

"Pete the Cat: Pete at the beach" by James Dean is a fictional book about a cat going to the beach with his family. Pete really wanted to have fun with his brother and go surfing but he was too scared. He tried everything else at the beach and finally conquered his fears and went surfing. http://www.petethecatbooks.com/activities/ #UCFLAE3414sp17

AlanaA I read Pete the Cat books to my preschoolers and they LOVED him. They really enjoyed when they could read aloud with the cassette tape and the teacher would turn the page. Really cute books! 8y
DrSpalding More to come about PETE! We will see him next week in class! 8y
