Not as interesting as Ready Player One and certainly got bogged down in a few sections.

1. I have definitely been reading like crazy this year. I‘ve already double what I in the whole year last year! Not being in school and trying to distract myself from everything else going on has me tackling my TBR stack with abandon.
2. I hope that I will be able to continue at this pace once school starts up again.

I‘ll admit I only read this because my husband was but then I had so much fun figuring out which fairy tale each story was based on! I loved this book and can‘t wait to start the next one.
This was a reread. I have always loved this book- so much so that my daughters name comes from it. Mina. I‘ve always thought she was quite an intelligent and brave woman, ahead of her time. I had forgotten how it ended though. It‘d been years since I first read it. Still loved it all.
I really wanted to like this book. Her description are so beautiful it‘s easy to get lost in her words and phrasing but underneath there just wasn‘t anything there. There was no coherent plot. Too much back and forth between characters and stories. And in the end... meh....
I really wanted to like this book but the shop owner just seemed so negative and judgmental about his customers. I still enjoyed it though. It‘s nice to imagine daily life theu someone else‘s eyes.
The book wasn‘t bad but this is one case where I feel like the movie was better.

During the summer this is pretty standard for the way I look. But I‘ll have to get back into the make up habit when school starts back up. Wouldn‘t want to scare the kids! 😂

Interesting mystery with lots of facts about space travel thrown in. Loved it!
I‘m happy to say 8 met all but my biking 2xs a week. I stayed within my limits on fast food and I‘ll be upping my book goal to 10 now. I didn‘t get to participate much in the walk-a-this today since we had my granddaughter‘s first bday party but I hope to make up some of that tomorrow.

I liked Walter and I can definitely get why my kids think this book is hilarious but it‘s just not my thing- not my preferred art style either. And since I have no picture for this book I‘ll just put a pic of my own rescued pup.
This was a really cute book. Adorable illustrations and funny story. This one may find it‘s way to my classroom if I can find it in translation.
Having my own little “Destructosaurus” I thought I‘d relate better to this book than I did. I really didn‘t like the way the adult talked to him in this book.
Thank you for tagging me @jen_the_scribe I read too slowly to have a large selection to choose my 6 from, but so far this year these are my 6 best.
Tag you‘re it @AuntDawnWalker @Clwojick @thereadingunicorn
I‘m happy I met my distance goal and next week I plan to focus more on eating at home and less fast food. I still need to adjust my bike so that‘s holding up the bike rides for the moment. So here‘s to making next week even better!

A cute book. Nothing heavy and nothing serious. I wasn‘t crazy about the ending- it was a bit too unrealistic and self centered. But a good listen while I worked in my first paint by number.
I absolutely loved this book. This has to be my favorite Neil Gaiman book so far. It‘s the first book in a long time for me that I just couldn‘t put down. And since I don‘t have a picture to go with the book I‘ll just post two of the five best in my life :)
1. Good Omens and Math Work Centers
2. I tried BookCheats but I just can‘t find a podcast I enjoy listening to (SUGGESTIONS WELCOME!!!)
3. Harry Potter and The Sorcerer‘s Stone with my daughter who had just finished reading it for the first time and watched the movie. ❤️

The story was great but the illustrations were amazing! I wish I could frame some for my walls! Wonderful! Can‘t wait for the next one. #sherlock
There‘s a bit of chemistry in this that I just don‘t get but the failings of the Soviet Union and the hiding of essential information was dumbfounding. A very good book very well researched and written.
This was such a great book. It took a chapter or two to adjust to Catelyn‘s voice but it was well worth it! Makes me miss having pen pals and handwriting letters myself.
My answers for @RealLifeReading ‘s book quiz. I don‘t have a lot of L books in my stack I see. #alphabetbookishquiz
I enjoyed the first half of this book but but was disappointed in the monster at the end. But more than anything I was disgusted by the sex scene amongst 12 year olds near the end. What point is there in that? All the other characters have quirks that help them defeat the monster but hers is to let them all finish in her? WTF is that? They are 12!!! Sorry Steve but you lost my respect with this one.
I love all Sherlock Holmes so this is no surprise. I particularly enjoyed the Red Headed League and the Adventure of the Copper Beaches. But what‘s not to love?
1/12 Jeez. I‘ve never dropped a book in the bathtub. But give me time and I‘m sure I will. @TheReadingMermaid
Short sweet little book. So I‘m a little late reading it this season but like they say “Paris is always a good idea!”
I finished this one just in time for Christmas. It had been on my the list for way longer than it should have been!
I was completely prepared not to like this book. After all, my mom suggested it and she and I never read the same things. But I loved it. I liked the initial story, but it was the short stories after that I really loved. I wish there were more.
Easy!

A Christmas Story
I loved this book! It was full of fairy tales and surprises and a feeling of Inkheart as well. I wish I could find more books like this. Or maybe I‘d just like to fall into my own story for a while.
I always loved the movie, but I enjoyed the book just as much.
I loved this! I thought only my husband was that big brothers with our bank accounts! Lol!
The Sherlock Holmes exhibit at the Houston Museum of Natural History was amazing! The other adults loved it and the kids had a blast. What more can you ask for?
1. Heading to Houston Museum of Natural Science to see the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle exhibit! Woohoo!!
2. Only three...
3. Summer- no school, I hate being cold and I prefer the plants in bloom
4. Jimmy Buffet- he sounded terrible but it was still so much fun

This book was so much better than the first one! I can‘t wait to start the third one now!
Can‘t wait to start using these strategies- after summer break!
Woohoo! Finished this one. I love Gaiman‘s work and this was no exception. It was a little more difficult since I admit I had no knowledge of the Marvel characters other than the little bit I‘ve seen on movies. I had to keep asking my husband who people were and how they fit together. But it was an excellent story.
