2nd book in the series. Aside from the crazy repetition of the narrator‘s ”imperious look”, this was a fun, quick read. It was my first read for APIDA month. Looking forward to the next 4 titles.

I think that part of being the best superheroine we can be involved embracing that messiness. Realizing there's nothing wrong with us if we don't have every single thing figured out. Letting our big, messy pile of emotions make us stronger. Celebrating when we do well and admitting when we fuck up.

I‘m working on my #sfftbrchallenge list and switching between these two books. I picked up the tagged book because it looked good even though my library didn‘t have the first in the series (sacrilege!). It‘s really cute and funny so far AND fits a few of the challenge categories so win-win! @LibrarianRyan

I enjoyed this one as much as the first, even though I was annoyed by Annie/Aveda at first. I came to realize it was only the things about her that remind me of myself that I was struggling with. I know this book is really just candy, and not “great literature” but I understand Annie‘s Hurricane self in a way I haven‘t related to many other main characters.

Birthday book!!!!!!

Female Asian American superheroes - not something you see a tremendous amount of in this world so the first in this series Heroine Complex (where the sidekick realized her own power) was a must read for me last year. This is the sequel where now the superheroine realizes that sometimes to be a better friend your need to be a little less super and a little more human. Both great books with quirky characters and a happily ever after romance to boot.

Went to pick up a library hold, and the Lucky Day shelf was insanely well stocked! It's usually slim pickings. I managed to limit myself to just one, The Lying Game.

I gonna read this ... and it going to be awesome I can already feel it! 😍😍😍 you ever have those books you just KNOW when they are going to be good?

Not quite as great as the first book, but still a lot of fun. Can't wait to see what else Sarah Kuhn puts out.
