This is an update on a post on #tuesdaytunes post a couple of weeks ago, The local member supported radio station has completed their countdown of the top 909 albums. The initial 899 would be represented by 1 song, but the final top 10 they played last week in their entirety. I caught a little bit while at work but I just looked at the site & found the graphic breakdown on their site fascinating: (CONT)

I checked to see where the albums that I voted for landed & Ziggy Stardust ended at #3 (!), Pixies Doolittle #33. I did't see Miles Davis Round Bout Midnight, but I did see the fantastic Kind of Blue at #16 & the epic Bitches' Brew. This is in an incredible list. So, for my #tuesdaytunes selection this week, I am going to choose 1 song from a few of the top 10 albums that I love.

vivastory Looking at the albums selected for the final 909, I think that you could give it to someone who is wanting to get into music in a big way. A crowd sourced list, with results on par with a big magazine. @tiedyedude (edited) 9mo

Suet624 I have never been a fan of Fleetwood Mac. Shocking, I know. Ziggy, though, I saw in Nashville in the early 70‘s. 9mo
BarbaraBB This is so cool. What a list! I scrolled through and it really is fabulous. Only thing are my Chili Peppers… Californication at 676 and even Blood Sugar Sex Magik at 329 🤷🏻‍♀️ But I agree on Prince, Fleetwood Mac and Nirvana in the Top 10. Also glad to see Lauryn Hill there, I am going to see her later this year. 9mo
Cathythoughts That‘s a real blast from the past Beatles picture ❤️ 9mo
vivastory @Suet624 That is shocking. Landslide is one of my fave songs of all-time. That's so cool you saw Bowie 9mo
vivastory @BarbaraBB That's awesome that you're going to be seeing Lauryn Hill! I was pleased to see her ranked high. The Fugees were a favorite in high school 9mo
TieDyeDude Nice selections. Fun list. Not a lot of surprises, but I didn't expect Jason Isabel in the top 20 9mo
vivastory @TieDyeDude He's a big deal here. I like him, but I have to admit that I don't quite get all of the hype. 9mo

Let‘s ignore the rest of the books I just ordered when I have no space. Why did I choose this one? Do I really need another project? And how many of these albums are available through Spotify? 😁

What albums are on your “must hear” list?

Shadowfat I've gotten a decent number of these from the library but it does take awhile to listen to them! 6y
JackOBotts I doubt this is included on the list, but Toadies “Rubberneck” is one of my all time favorite albums. Sad to say I vent recall the last time I listened to an album all the way through. The way I listen to music has changed so much with digital music. 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️ 6y
