The this story was well worth the time invested (ie two snuggle times with Little Dude, who really seems to enjoy LeVar Burton‘s voice!) I wasn‘t quite sure where it was going but I was pleased with the conclusion. Burton makes some really good points in his discussion after the story ends about recognizing a person‘s strengths and ways to utilize those strengths.

“Just because I cross the line now and then doesn‘t mean I don‘t know the line exists!”

Today‘s snuggle time listen was part one of “Empty Places” by Richard Parks from the tagged collection. An accomplished thief is approached by a wizard with a reputation that precedes him & an unusual mission.

I liked this story. I don‘t read much fantasy anymore so this was a treat. Part two later today or tomorrow! #levarburtonreads

This week's "LeVar Burton Reads" is a really fun story about a wizard who forces a thief to work for him. The story is "Empty Spaces" by Richard Parks and was in the anthology Fantasy: The Best of the Year (2006). The dialogue between the wizard and the thief are a lot of fun, and LeVar does a great job bringing them to life. Already looking forward to listening to the second part of the story next week. #fantasy #LBReads #shortstories
