I really love Merlin and Arthur‘s relationship in this book. I can‘t wait to continue the series.

Ruthiella I loved these books when I read them as a teen. I‘ve been meaning to re-read them. 2y
Bookwomble I bought these books in the '80s and haven't read them yet - this could be the year! 😄 2y

Ughhghhghgbnvbnnmkmbvb!!! Fantastic!! Now I am left in a fog, jolted out of a world I love so much and dully put back into the year of 2020 *long dramatic sigh* I want to continue the Arthurian legend or even start the Saxon stories but I will restrain myself for the time being and start some Fall reads. Gods I love these books

Went to a dinner at my dads over the weekend and only mentioned Merlin a minimum of four times, pretty proud I didn‘t out nerd myself 😎 when I‘m in my Fangirl mode I can get pretty obsessive lol
🧙‍♂️✨ I‘m still trucking along with Hollow Hills, I haven‘t had much time to read this weekend so I‘m excited to get some reading time in the week.

i turned my cell phone off and told everyone they could reach me on the landline, then i slid my cell across the room landing it under the coffee table. that was on Thursday. i love not having a cellphone and only keep it around for family and husband but i think im going to be doing this every month, it really helps with my stress. also Arthurian legends. i'm in my happy place rn
🙏 Merlin, green tea and cellular silence 🙏

BooksCoffeeNurse @reading_rainbow I agree 100%! There is nothing more calming then turning off your cell phone. ☺️ 4y

Can this count as my #TBRshelfie? My books are still stacked on the floor in this room as we wait for the roofer. @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @vkois88

saresmoore Such an elegant looking chaise you have! 5y
Lcsmcat @saresmoore Thanks! It‘s a favorite reading place usually. Now it‘s a little hard to get to! 5y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Wow!!! That‘s what mine would look like if they weren‘t on shelves!! 5y

I‘m bad about sticking to a #TBR but these are some I might read in August. #austeninaugust #auginbooks18 #augustisatrip

Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Looks like a great stack 📚📚 6y
Andrew65 Me too! 6y
vkois88 I'm awful at TBR lists for months... I'm so much of a mood reader that I have trouble sticking to it 6y
Lcsmcat @vkois88 @andrew65 I can only be sure of reading things I‘m “obliged” to read - book club, buddy reads, loans that need to be returned, etc. 6y
jillrhudy That Mary Stewart trilogy was so much fun. 6y

The #sword Excalibur plays a big role in the legend of King Arthur and I suspect it was a bit fancier than the one on this cover. #coolbooks @Linsy

SledgeReader @Lcsmcat I loved this the first time I read it and I‘ve been thinking it‘s time to revisit. Hmmm do I #blameitonlitsy? Putting it on my TBR now! Going for the whole trilogy! 6y
Lcsmcat @SledgeReader 😀I keep putting it off until I can read all three, one after the other. I should just jump in and do it. 6y
smilingshelves I love this series! 6y

Mehso-so

The second book in a series dealing with Merlin and Arthur, this one is solid and entertaining enough. I do love Stewart's Merlin, but the story did drag in parts. Definitely enjoyable, but not as magical as reading Malory or The Mabinogion, I think.

Rereading this and then moving on to the next book in the series! Then I plan to reread The Mists of Avalon...
