I *loved* this book. Loved it. I first sought out the audio book (per BookRiot's recommendation) and became completely consumed by thr story, told through Lin-Manuel Miranda's perfectly lovely narration (surprising no one). I have since also reread the book in paperback and loved it even more. It's beautiful and elegant, minimalist and wonderful in all the best ways. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.

Reading this book was a long time coming. The Arthurian mythos has always fascinated me and this take on Merlin has been floating around the top of my TBR for ages. After finishing it, I am deeply impressed and eager to continue the story as Mary Stewart tells it.
