The Ends of the World
The Ends of the World | Maggie Hall
9 posts | 9 read | 6 to read
The thrilling conclusion to the romantic adventure series that TeenVogue.com calls, a "Da Vinci Code-style thriller for teens." Power balances on a knife's edge. Destiny is uncertain. And love is the most terrifying thing of all. The Circle of Twelve is not who Avery though they were. Neither is Avery. Her mother is dead. Betrayal and attraction and history have tangled the strings that bind her, Jack, and Stellan. And now, Avery and her friends must put aside their own problems and focus on putting a stop to the most dangerous conspiracy of all . . . From London to Russia to Egypt, from the chill of underground crypts to the flash of paparazzi cameras, Avery West will finally have to confront whether her fate means salvation--or destruction. From the Hardcover edition.

The weird thing about re-reading this trilogy this week is that I remembered book 2 very clearly... and I remembered nothing about book 3. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ I kept being surprised. 😂 But it was a really fun read the second time around too! #howjessreadsin2019

LibrarianRyan I have this series. I just havent started it yet. I didn't realize it was a retelling. 5y
howjessicareads @LibrarianRyan - oh it‘s not a retelling. Definitely a modern, new story. But it‘s got a very Da Vinci Code-esque vibe. 5y
LibrarianRyan @howjessreads oh good. That was what I was hoping for. 5y

1. Like Da Vinci code, but for teens, and interesting. This is the 3rd in the trilogy. Fun, fast, interesting, well done.
2. Maybe Cellas?
3. Gen X for sure. (See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generation if you're not sure ;))
4. Computer: Dell
5. Pack; look at houses; meet a friend for coffee & crepes; church; more packing. And cuddle the baby. (Ok. He's a toddler now.)

Full disclosure: I have 20 pages left. But I loved the first two books and this one does not disappoint. The biggest thing though is the subtle consent moment.
