Moments. Our lives are a collection of moments. Some utterly painful and full of yesterday's hurts. Some beautifully hopeful and full of tomorrow's promises.I've had many moments in my lifetime, moments that changed me, challenged me. Moments that scared me and engulfed me. However, the biggest ones-the most heartbreaking and breathtaking ones-all included him.I was ten years old when I lost my voice. A piece of me was stolen away, and the only person who could truly hear my silence was Brooks Griffin. He was the light during my dark days, the promise of tomorrow, until tragedy found him. Tragedy that eventually drowned him in a sea of memories. This is the story of a boy and girl who loved each other, but didn't love themselves. A story of life and death. Of love and broken promises.Of moments.(Book Three in the Elements Series. Complete Standalone.)

HOLY MOLY!! I am blown away by the amount of emotion that was on these pages. Brooks and Maggie have this connection where they are able to give each other what they need the most be it a small squeeze of a hand or taking the other through the darkest of dark.

Not all broken things need to be fixed. Sometimes they need to be loved. It would be a shame if only people who were whole were deserving of love.

Not going to lie I picked this book from #primereading because of the cover, look above, but it wasn't bad. While the storyline with the MC felt a bit far-fetched for me the more i read, overall it was a good read with some sweet moments. 3 ⭐

Ddzmini I would pick that book up too... as a matter of fact 😋📖 6y

This was a nice quick little romance with other stuff in there. After witnessing a murder and almost being murdered herself when she was 10, Maggie May will lose her voice and become agoraphobic. With the the support of her family and the love of a boy named Brooks, she will lead a comfortable life. But later on in life when Brooks needs her the most will she find the strength she needs to be there for him? (Duh) This was alright.

sprainedbrain I want to read this whole series because of the bearded hunks on the covers. I‘ve only read the first so far. Lol 7y

Reggie @sprainedbrain lol, his name is Luke Vitelli and he has an Instagram. You welcome. I didn‘t know it was a series. The book was ok but the author‘s note made it great. 7y
ValerieAndBooks So do they use sign language to communicate with each other? 7y
Reggie No, they use hand squeezes, one for yes, 2 for no, and a dry erase board. But because her and Brooks have such a connection he can usually tell what she‘s saying by the look on her face. It was cute because they have their own book club where she post it notes books and he reads them. And later on he starts giving her books to read. @ValerieAndBooks (edited) 7y

Wow! I loved this book. It was heart breaking but there was so much love between Maggie and Brooks and even her family that by the end your heart was put back together and so full.

Loved. Great writing, great characters and I was highlighting up a storm on my kindle.I felt Maggie's pain and frustration with her mental block preventing her from talking. There were times where I wanted her family to stop treating her with gloves on and shove her into the world and make her face her problems. In the end I was happy she did everything on her own time. And swoon for Mr. Brooks. He found a way to communicate to her through books.
