Crusader Castles | 
Have loved Lawrence‘s writing since I first read Seven Pillars. Crusader Castles which was his thesis has eluded me since I failed to purchase a reprint in Aleppo many years ago. Well I found that the FolioSociety had reprinted a copy and it had to mine. Beautiful edition, illustrated by Lawrence‘s own drawing and letters, plus a collection of the letters he wrote during his travels. A happy arrival on a sad day.
How's this for amazing castle info? T.E.Lawrence's photos and drawings accompany his thesis on the architectural influence of Crusader castles. Visiting Carcassonne was a #bucketlist trip for me. SO cool to see it all over in this #FolioSociety book.

I almost missed posting for #FolioFriday! This delightful castle book was part of my sale box last week. This is a thesis written by T.E.Lawrence on military architecture and the influence of Crusader castles. I know I won't understand most of it, but I am a castle FREAK. So I took a chance. And it paid off. This is packed with his photos and drawings. CASTLES!! Interiors to be posted next...
