WOW! Can i love a series as much as this!! The Powder Mage series will not be suffering from middle book syndrome. Book 2 was even better than book one.
The book picks right back up from where we left off and hits the ground running. There is so much action along with deeper character development. I literally lost myself in this rich landscaping of world building, magic, war and much loved people.

pickI really enjoyed reading this one! The only thing I don't like is that Taniel and Ka-Poel are getting together. I had much rather they stay friend. There's hardly any strong friendships between boys and girls in fantasy. It always turns into a romance...
Today there's snow after that storm yesterday. 😒 But the English Garden did look nice.😊
And in the book it's summer and quite hot! 3/4 way through and I don't want to put it down!
