Last week I social distanced myself at the beach. It wasn‘t crowded and we had plenty of sunshine and reading time. It was bliss. This week I‘m home, but still reading! #AnIntrovertsParadise #FLGulfCoast

Saturday Librarian here. I live between 2 National Historic Sites, The Jimmy Carter NHS and Andersonville NHS. We have a display in our Library from Andersonville, which is a former Civil War prison, and current cemetery and POW Museum. I‘ve noticed a lot of students stopping at the display to read, watch, and view. It‘s great when we can use history to lead to knowledge.
Picked this up before heading to work. It is set in Kentucky, where I lived for 12 years. Looking forward to pulling the night shift with this in my hand.
I say, I think the title of my book is rather ironic for those who celebrate Valentines Day 🥰
I gifted myself a Kindle a few months ago, along with a subscription to Kindle Unlimited. I still have my print library books that I can‘t live without, but am finding myself using the Kindle more often. Anyone else experience the same?
Good morning Littens. I‘ve had a severe lack of reading, partly due to this guy. He sticks like glue. Added to that, my granddaughter has been in the hospital since late last week with a chest tube to drain fluid off her lungs. She may be facing surgery tomorrow to repair a small hole in her lung. She‘s only 3, but has been a trooper. Please send good thoughts for C. Thank you. It takes a Litten Village.
Someone was excited to see if Santa Paws came. Merry Christmas a day late, Litsy Fam!
My daughter and I have a tradition of picking a book and then gifting to each other. This year we choose a guided journal based on Becoming by Michelle Obama. Merry Christmas to us.
Time for a quick and easy read while I watch students stress over final exams. Gotta love the library during finals week!
Been patiently waiting my turn for this. I love Beatriz Williams‘ other books and have high hopes.
Words cannot describe how I feel after finishing this. If you‘ve not read this, I highly recommend this book!
Working an evening shift, so this is my treat if I get my work done. Keep working...keep working
Hey y‘all! Meet Rudy, the newest member of the #LitsyFam. He has already filled the void left by the passing of my Dixie Girl. Plus, he loves to sit in my lap while I read. #RaisingHimRight #DogsOfLitsy #HashtagCrazy
I read The Tattooist of Auschwitz and now I‘m reading about Cilka. It‘s her story after leaving the camp. Heart breaking and so well written.
A nice read with historical characters sprinkled throughout. The authors notes at the end were a nice touch.
At first I had issues with the back and forth between the characters, but I‘ve got the hang of it now. Makes me want to reread Dr Zhivago.
For nearly 15 years, I‘ve been recording books I want to read. Sometimes it‘s fun to look back and see how books have impacted our lives. #BookishProblems
I was late to the Kindle party, but Sandra and I are making up for lost time.
I‘ve been away from Litsy for a bit and this is why. We lost our lovely GSD a couple of months ago and I‘m still full of grief. She was my baby and I miss her terribly.
Started reading The Library this morning and since I‘m at work for another 1 hour and 43 minutes -but who‘s counting - I might finish this tonight. A cozy mystery with a character who volunteers in a Library.
Woke up at 4:00 am, so Montauk and I are gonna hang out before work. I‘ve got a long day ahead of me, so I‘ll take Montauk with a side of coffee.
Happy almost first day of classes. Recently purchased my first Kindle and gifted myself with a Kindle Unlimited subscription. Fun times!
Have been feeling the need to create lately. This book is fun, as you can spend as much or little time as you want and still create.
Fifteen pages in and I‘m in love. More than a story about the Los Angeles Central Library fire of 1986, this is a love letter to Libraries, books, and librarians.
Ran to the public library and found this treasure just sitting on the shelf, waiting for me.
Oh. My. Goodness. This book is a love story to books and freedom. I can‘t recommend it more.
Birthday present from the LoveGuy, AKA The Hubs. I‘ve read so much about this book, that I‘m excited to begin reading.
Thank you so much for the birthday card and bookmark, @robinb. You‘re too sweet! #justbecause
All my friends invite you to follow my friend, and daughter in law, @Meg4n6 She‘s new to Litsy, so please so her some #LitsyLove. Thanks!
Day 6 of the flu and I‘m in my TBR pile. At least I have pictures of the cutest grandbaby in the world to keep me going. #FluShotDidntWork 😷🤒👎
Does this book spark joy for you?
My Inter Library Loan arrived, not a minute too soon!
An older historical fiction book that drew me to its place on the shelf. Guess it was kismet.
“This skirt I‘m wearing does not bring me joy.” Me - 36 pages in.
Christmas gift from The Husband. Perfect thing to help me ease back into a schedule after 3 weeks off. #LibrarianProblems
Early Christmas present from my hubby. He knows me so well!
The view out my window. We‘re in Bavaria Germany and have started exploring the city and Christmas markets. I‘ve already found 2 bookstores. A #ProudLitsyMoment if there ever was one.
Getting ready for a day trip and of course I‘m packing my book!
@umbrellagirl Thank you so much for my gifts. You are so generous and spot on with your choices. I will be taking a couple of these on my long flight next week. Thanks and happy #stuffedstocking to you!
