pickThis was a cute, light read. Definitely had a fun sense of humor—I found myself imagining Mindy Kaling voicing Becka‘s character. While I don‘t necessarily see myself rushing out to buy the next in the series, it was a nice way to wind down on a Friday evening.
pickThis is a totally adorable graphic novel about a part-time grim reaper. Becka is a fine arts major with a major crush on her classmate, the “100% cutie with a booty, gothic angel sent from the heavens” Kim. When Becka follows Kim one day, she gets pulled into a world she could never imagine.
This series is so flipping cute! It features two strong female leads and is definitely LBGTQ positive. I recommend it so, SO much!!!
so-so3⭐️ To me this screams MTV. Think Bevis and Buthead, meet Daria, and add some Buffy and Beetlejuice. Becka is crushing on Kim so hard. She thinks she is the prettiest girl at Uni. But Kim has a big secret. She is a part-time Grim Reaper. She has to pay for college somehow. The conversations are on the dumb side, and quite cheesy. Seriously, a female Beavis and Butthead, but not in the great way like Daria.
pickWhat happens when a super positive up beat girl crushes on a goth cutie? She follows her through a portal and discovers she is a grim reaper, part time to pay her way through uni, hilarity ensues! It‘s a fantastically fun comic with wickedly good eyeliner! 10/10 will recommend!

pickJust took a break from the heaviness of White Oleander to read an ARC of Kim Reaper: Grim Beginnings. It was so adorable and fun and I loved it! 2 hours down! #24in48
pickThrough no fault of Graley's, I don't think that comics are my thing. I read the first 3 volumes. I dig the art. The characters are quirky, flawed, alternative & lovable. The premise (college-aged female paying her way through school by reaping souls - &, unintentionally, her classmate Becka's heart) is right up my alley. But all I kept thinking was, "I hate these tiny snippets. Is someone going to collect all this & make a graphic novel or what?"
