When Quentin Draith wakes up in a private sanatorium, he has no memory of who he is or how he received the injuries riddling his body. All he knows is that he has to get out, away from the drugs being pumped into him and back to the real world to search for answers. His first question: How did his friend Tony's internal organs fill with sand, killing him in a Las Vegas car crash? After a narrow escape, he tracks down the basic facts: he is an investigator and blogger specializing in the supernatural -- which is a good thing, because Quentin's life is getting stranger by the minute. It seems he is one of a special breed, a person with unusual powers. He's also the prime suspect in a string of murders linked by a series of seemingly mundane objects. The deeper he digs and the harder he works to clear his name, the more Quentin realizes that some truths are better off staying buried...

I wish I had an object to make me forget about this book. I‘m glad I got it for free because really, it‘s not worth $15 for a physical copy. The book couldn‘t decide whether it wanted to be UF or sci-fi or what. I didn‘t like any of the characters because the women were caricatures and the men were all pigs. It was annoying to read and I wanted to quit about halfway through, but finished it because I‘m stubborn. Don‘t read this book.

Alfoster #6-12: I feel your pain! So sorry! Stairs still hard for me too after knee replacement😢! And #16 Wowie! That's so cool!👏👏👏 7y
ReadingEnvy @Alfoster I am still thinking about what my knee needs to do to go downstairs ... It is like my body forgot, I didn't do it for so long. 7y
saresmoore Jenny, you win. I almost put on mine that I'm empathic and observant to the point of clairvoyance. I'm really glad you're not quitting your baking blog and I think you deserve a milkshake. 7y
ReadingEnvy @saresmoore aha I knew that about you... J/k 7y
Alfoster Yup! Up is easier for me too! Still go down one foot at a time. Surgeon says your new knee doesn't know "its place in space" and you have to re-train your brain. Yikes! PT will help. Stay strong-minded!❤️ 7y
ReadingEnvy @Alfoster thank you! 7y
kspenmoll Take care and so sorry you are going through your knee pain- sounds like you are on the mend-I hope- love the silver eyes❤️ 7y
ReadingEnvy @kspenmoll thank you... I will need to keep getting stronger but I've seen amazing progress so I feel great! 7y
Merethebookgal Sorry about your dad 😞 and I feel ya about the knee stuff. I had my 2nd ACL replacement earlier this year and stairs still aren't my friend. 7y
Bklover Congrats on 16! 7y
Lindy I'm so sorry about your dad. It's good to hear that your knee is improving. Silver eyes are totally cool. Mine change colour too, but only between blue and gray. 7y
readordierachel I love the facts you picked 💙. And now I want a milkshake. 7y
BarbaraBB You should be a writer yourself! Sorry to hear about your dad and your knee. 7y
Reggie What kind of milkshake? 7y
ReadingEnvy @Bklover I'm excited! 7y
ReadingEnvy @Lindy well, hmm... It's possible that I decide gray is silver but maybe not? The hair that has started to turn is decidedly silvery white and not gray so maybe eyes can be too. ;) 7y
