Children of the Storm
Children of the Storm: An Amelia Peabody Novel of Suspense | Elizabeth Peters
3 posts | 15 read | 3 to read
The Great War has ended at last. No longer must archaeologist Amelia Peabody and her husband, Emerson, the distinguished Egyptologist, fear for the life of their daring son, Ramses, now free from his dangerous wartime obligations to British Intelligence. But in the aftermath of conflict, evil still casts a cold shadow over violence-scarred Egypt. The theft of valuable antiquities from the home of a friend causes great concern in the Emerson household. Ramsess strange encounter with a woman costumed in the veil and gold crown of the goddess Hathor only deepens the mystery. And the brutal death of the suspected thief washes the unsettling affair in bloodsetting Amelia on a terrifying collision course with an adversary more fiendish and formidable than any she has ever encountered.

Anytime I can use an Amelia Peabody mystery for a challenge I do. Once again loved it! My favourite series! My Egyptian meal was falafel, salata baladi and mahlab bread and I'm happy to say it was delicious. #Egypt #foodandlit2022 #pop22 #popsugar #pantone2022 #sistercities

Clwojick Ooo good colour match! 2y

1- this is fudging a little but Ramses Emerson from the Amelia Peabody novels is the first child who came mind. He's isn't truly the protagonist, Amelia is, and he grows up through the series, but I love him.
2- nope
3- concert by local cover band
4- Tolkien, JK Rowling, Austen, Elizabeth Peters...
