This is an interesting story, but it gets exhausting around Chapter 5. If you want to save time, Chapter 7 talks about the actual establishment of the British Museum. On the plus side, the illustrations are excellent.

I started this world map of books in my #bujo to figure out what countries I had read already as a way of figuring out what #readaroundtheworld and #passportlitsy countries to prioritize when I inevitably run out of time to do them all...but it's become so complicated, I need a spreadsheet! Set in country, author from country, both, indigenous voices, etc-so many layers. I'm starting small, but I eventually want them all set in AND written by.
#TBRtemptation post 2! This is the first major biography of Hans Sloane in over a half-century. He was a young doctor from Northern Ireland in London. He would eventually become the King's physician. When he visited Jamaica, he began collecting curiosities. Becoming the center of a vast global network, he would set up the core of the British Museum, the National History Museum, and the British Library. #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎
Is there a word for a collection of e-readers?
