I enjoyed this Russian fairy tale, a sort of a darker version of Cinderella. Thanks to the #ChildrensClassicRead2021 for I have not read of the legend of Baba Yaga before this! 🤦♀️

A beautifully illustrated edition of this Russian fairy tale. I think I have this in various collections, but now I have this one for the pictures, too. Excellent choice, @TheBookHippie #childrensclassicread2021
I jumped ahead. I enjoyed December‘s book. I searched YouTube & there were a few narations of the book ( some better than others). Here is one:

#It is an alien who harvests children...and Baba Yaga is an old crone/witch from Russian fairy tales who lives in a house with chicken feet and while she doesn't really seem to eat children, she definitely threatens too. It hides in the sewer, Baba Yaga hides in the woods, they both do a lot of luring....you see where I'm going here. 🎃 #monstermadness2017
