This saga brings life to Paris from the 1200‘s to the 1800‘s through the eyes of 6 families. The story is compelling and so is the history.
It reminds me of Ken‘s Follet‘s Kingsbridge Trilogy, beginning with The Pillars of the Earth 👇

Add the brilliant artwork and reading this book was a wonderful way to start my year! I was meant to read it in December for the #ChildrensClassicRead2021, but I wound up late to the party. pickBeautiful illustrations added to the enjoyment of this classic children‘s Russian folk tale that was new to me. Some elements reminiscent of Cinderella and Hansel and Gretel. Love that the deceased Mother left her child some magic to protect her. #childrensclassicread2021
