Another one rec'd to me for the 10yo via “Get Booked.“ She loved it and is clamoring for more. I'll be checking out the next volume asap. I also thought the book was great. The art is good, it's funny and action-packed, the characters are complex, there's cool time-travel, and bonus appearances by Captain America and Spider-Man.

It's going to be a rough couple of days at work.

This should help me get through it.

Taking a break from the chunkster and short stories to focus on some comics for a bit. (Btw, I had to consult a website to figure out which order to read these cause there are like 3 different #1s and I‘m a Captain Marvel newbie - so I‘m not even sure if these are the best to start with😄) #24in48 and I‘m on 9 hours plus now

queerbookreader There are a bunch of captain marvel number 1s! Start with any by kelly sue, then move onto A Force and then the solo series by Butters 6y
queerbookreader (Butters?? I think?? Let me check) 6y
queerbookreader Yes Tara butters. Also before that one check out the short one 6y
Eyelit Awesome - thanks! @queerbookreader 6y

Day 2 #septembowie. Heroes. You can be heroes just for one day. A few of my favourites heroes in graphic novels format.

So I read completely out of order, this was the first of the new run of captain marvel. But if marvel will put a bloody 1 on the side of multiple volumes how are you meant to know!? I'm just in love with this writers take on carol and I keep saying this so not sure I can say anything else. Art is very different from later runs but still damn good. Also my first #readharder of the year, wooooo!

Weaponxgirl Forgot to mention stupidly this is part of my #womenincomics challenge! I'm back on track after my little pretty divine detour 8y
LindsayReads I read the reboot all out of order, too! It's just a tad confusing the way Marvel handled it. 8y
Weaponxgirl @LindsayReads yup, it's happened to me a couple of times. Or I've been stood in a bookshop going which one first? Gah 8y
LindsayReads YES! 8y

This was my introduction to Carol Danvers and it was a succesful one.
I enjoyed the characters, the story, the tone of the novel.

I was a newbie in this universe so this was a gentle way into the multiple facets universe that Carol Danvers inhabits.

The graphics are superb.

It's been a heavy week; it felt like the right time to spend some time bingeing Kelly Sue DeConnick's re-boot of Captain Marvel. It's some delicious girl-power goodness, and has been a much-needed bright spot! My Marvel Unlimited is getting a workout this week!
