I'm Gonna Like Me
I'm Gonna Like Me: Letting Off a Little Self-Esteem | Jamie Lee Curtis
2 posts | 1 read | 2 to read
Celebrate liking yourself! Through alternating points of view, a girl's and a boy's, Jamie Lee Curtis's triumphant text and Laura Cornell's lively artwork show kids that the key to feeling good is liking yourself because you are you. Like the duo's first New York Times best-seller, Today I Feel Silly and Other Moods That Make My Day, this is an inspired book to rejoice in and share. I'm Gonna Like Me will have kids letting off some self-esteem in no time!

New York Times #1 best seller Jamie Lee Curtis “I‘m Gonna Like Me” (RF) is a phenomenal book about feeling good and liking yourself. I think this a must read in any classroom to all students. Therefore, this would be great RA. The UDL principles included is 3.2; Highlighting patterns, critical features, big ideas and relationships. Use EL strategy 10; Teach think, pair, share strategies in cooperative groups.

KAdudu Here is a great resource to use;

KAdudu In this book both the little boy and girl say “I‘m gonna like me” followed by them saying something they like about themselves. I think this book is great for teaching self esteem. 6y

hkeiger Jamie Lee Curtis is killing it with her children‘s books. I read Me, Myselfie, & I by her and loved it so I am sure this one is just as good! It seems to have a really good message that we could all use :) 6y
DebbieGrillo I love this one! 6y
ally11301 This is such a great book to help boost up students self-esteem! A lot of children may be struggling with themselves due to bullying but this book will help them boost up their self-esteem. I would definitely purchase this book and put it in my classroom! 6y
