I reread often but usually just my favorite parts. It is rare I do I cover-to-cover reread but after Henry from “Words in Deep Blue” by Cath Crowley mentions this book (and compares is “former” best friend to “Summer Skin” lead Jess) I had to pick it up again. As much as I liked it originally, I didn‘t remember a lot about it and that made this read phenomenal. I could read a favorite almost as if it was the first time! ❤️ Smart NA romance FTW.
Last book for 2018 was a reread of one of my #loveozya favourites. I‘m 2 books over my goodreads challenge and did every prompt for the AusYaBloggers Reading Challenge 😊📚🎉
It was an okay book, sometimes sexy, sometimes funny. I am not a big fan of the reformed bad boy trope, but I really liked Jess, the main character. She was relatable, she could be someone I know, and I like that.
I love summer, but it is borderline TOO hot in Minnesota right now 😅
Pink!

#pinkcovers for #riotgrams! I've only read (and loved) Summer Skin from this pile. I bought the rest from a book sale and haven't had the time to read them.

'All I really think is that girls are allowed to collect life experiences too, without it meaning that they're ruined.' #summerreads #KirstyEagar #aww2016 #LoveOzYA
Look how many pages I bookmarked in Summer Skin 😂 This YA/NA romance is a raw and honest feminist exploration of Australia in the social media age, where young, imperfect characters are both shaped by and fighting against the norms of their world. One of my favourite reads this year! #romantsy #LoveOzYA

Gearing up for summer with a great Aussie read! #LoveOzYA #OzRomance #summerreads
Such a brilliant feminist read. I love Kirsty Eagar's writing.
Summer Skin is the kind of book that makes me want to go back in time so I can give it to my teenage self. I think it would have changed my life back then. There were so many things to love in this book - the feminist theme, the characters, the romance. Definitely one of my favorite reads this year! I'm reminded that I need to read more Aussie YA/NA before 2016 ends.

Prime example of new-adult. Flawed but not angsty. Sexy but not sex-centered. A heroine who knows her mind, takes her stands but still doesn't always make the right choices. I hope it gets an American publisher soon!
I have hit the part of the book relationship where I can't bear to be parted from it.
My second Book Depository splurge and I'm diving right into this one.
Unapologetically fun, feminine and feminist. This is THE book for the summer.
Sexy, sweet and fiercely feminist, Summer Skin straddles the YA/NA gap with ease.
I'm having so much trouble putting this book down, one of the best I've read in awhile
Summer Skin is smart, funny, sexy and feminist. The characters are amazing, and I'm quite in love with Jess myself. Mitch's character arc is beautiful. I wish I read this book when I was 19, but I still bloody loved it at 32.
