The animals form a night brigade after an encounter with a blood-thirsty snake, and just in time because something is threatening their night realm. Animals are disappearing without a trace. A delightfully fun book. Love the characters! I just had to laugh over the names of the band of five crocodiles – Miss, Bee, Hay, Vee, & Orr. The personalities of the animals make the book so appealing.

Educational & emphasizes the value of friendship. Cute illustrations at the beginning of each chapter.

This is the perfect book for middle-grade children to read on their own. It also is a delightful read aloud book for younger children.

Each book in this series is #under200pages. They are a great read for grades 3+. They are clean, contain no magic, and talk about wildlife in a fiction setting. Great reads. #marchinbooks

Pictured are books 3 and 4. I don't remember if I still have book one or if it was a flood book.

Unexpected #bookmail I have book 1 from BEA last year. They also sent a nice Christmas thing in December. And now book 3. My TBR pile grows.

It's been a while since I've read a children's chapter book and this was a good one to get back into them! Dawn, a wise fox, Tobin, a gentle but strong pangolin, and Bismark, a loud and crafty sugar glider form a brigade after fending off a snake's attack. As other animals start disappearing, it seems they formed their group just in time and set out to discover the problem and bring their fellow nocturnals home. #litsyafterdark
