This is the first adult novel of Julie Buxbaum‘s I‘ve read, and I have to say I think I prefer her young adult novels. Not that this one was bad, but the three YA books of hers I‘ve read were better.

“Last night, I dreamt that I chopped Andrew up into a hundred little pieces, like a Benihana chef, and ate them, one by one.”
Okay, I cheated a little. There‘s a prologue to chapter 1, but this opening line of chapter 1 is just too good!

Reader probs: Just finished a Julie Buxbaum novel and was reading about her other books in her author bio. Saw one called “The Opposite of Love” and was like, I should add this to my To Be Read. Went to add it, saw I had already added it and laughed to myself. IMAGINE THE LOOK ON MY FACE when I went to pull my next read out of the library pile I got this week and saw “The Opposite of Love” in the pile. 😂 Yeah, that book is here at my house.
#Chloe is half asleep and confused as to why I‘m shoving a coffee cup in her face. 😹 (It‘s for the internet, Chloe!!)
Trying to get a few more minutes of #24B4Monday in between chores and errands - my son is having surgery tomorrow and I feel like there is so much to do first!

I‘m 4 hours, 51 minutes into #24B4Monday and enjoying this book so far (I totally changed tactics from my morning plan).
I got #litsypenpals mail from @shellleigh33 AND #SFFTBR mail from @LibrarianRyan today - so lovely to have handwritten notes in my mailbox!! 📬❤️
#Edith is cranky-cuddling but kindly let me prop stuff on her. #catsoflitsy
