The Silent Girl | Michael Hjorth, Hans Rosenfeldt
9 posts | 5 read
An idyllic white, two-storey, beautiful house in Sweden. Inside, a family has been brutally murdered - mother, father and two young children all shot in broad daylight. And the killer has got away. Sebastian Bergman has been brought in to solve the crime, but with no credible suspects, he is at a dead end. Until he discovers that there was a witness to the crime. A young girl who saw it all happen, and she has fled, in fear for her life. Bergman has to track the young girl down before it's too late. But the killer is chasing her too - and he is determined to finish what he started.

I love animals, and I‘m against animal‘s violence, even in books cause rationally I know it is just literature. But right now I don‘t feel like buying more books from this authors. How do you feel when this happens? (This is a pick because it‘s good, until the last couple of pages) 😾🦉

JoScho I can‘t deal with animal violence either 😔 7y
Bklover Oh I‘m right there with you! And I actually like violent bloody books- just leave animals out of them! 7y
bobregina @Bklover Me too!! I don‘t care about people being killed, but animals should be untouchable 🙄 7y

bobregina @JoScho it‘s good to know I‘m not alone 😿 7y
JoScho The same goes for books and movies. I always check doesthedogdie.com before watching anything with an animal 7y
Bklover @JoScho I didn‘t know there was a website! Thank you!!! 7y
JoScho @Bklover yes! You are welcome. Just made my husband check it for a movie he wanted to put on. His response “this movie isn‘t for you”. It is super helpful to keep you from ugly crying. 7y
Bette I've stopped reading books at times if I think they are killing an animal to set up who the villain is. It's such a cheap trick. On the other hand, I just read 'Crimson Lake' and in the first few pages the lead saves a goose...and I knew it was just setting up that he was really good...but it made me happy. 7y
tessavi @tokyoseg the link @JoScho mentioned might be usefull to you! 7y
tokyoseg @tessavi if only I had this before being traumatized all those years! 7y

The final episode of The Bridge! 🌉 I can't believe it's the end! 😢 Nordic noir doesn't get any better than this! Luckily there are still all the books written by Hans Rosenfeldt to get over this difficult time. 😁❤
