I am in a reading slump. Started several books but nothing holds my attention.

It's a rainy day so I decided to stay home and dive into this book.

Another lazy weekend~

I didn't realize it was a short story collection, until the 'second chapter' made no sense. As with every short story book, a few great ones but most just OK.

Reading some short stories while my boyfriend is playing games. Those are only a small part of my TBR piles 😅

I loved the setting and world building. The story started of good but the last third was a drag and took me ages to get through.

Not even close to my goal this year. I hardly read at all the last 3 months. Setting the same goal for 2023, let's see!

This story was exactly what I expected based on the title, but I was hoping for more. Between a so-so and a pick.

I am a sucker for books with interesting designs, unusual layouts etc. My ten year old self would have loved this story.

Another great story in The Dispatcher universe! The first one was my introduction to Scalzi.

This was free in the Audible Plus catalog. I didn't know anything about the book or author when I started it, but it turned out to be a fast paced mystery/thriller. Not the best I read, but just what I was in the mood for!

An interesting setting but that's it. The story itself fell flat and I forgot most of it after finishing it.

I am not sure how I feel about this book. It wasn't bad but only just kept my interest enough to finish.

Small e-book haul.

Written in 1968, I think Clarke succeeded in creating a story that still holds up today. I should watch the movie someday.

As with most short story collections, it was a mixed bunch. There were a few I loved and some were quite haunting. However, this is a rare case where the movie is better than the title story.
Would recommend this if you enjoyed The Three-Body Problem.

Meh. This short story didn't add anything to the series.

I loved the premise and world building of this story, but some parts dragged. Too much politics.

I read several books by Okorafor and in my opinion this one has the best writing style so far. The ending was so-so, but overall a quick solid read.

This is the second Backman book I read and I have mixed feelings. Some parts really touched me an Backman is great at showing people's thoughts & emotions. But there is just something about the writing style that makes it less enjoyable. I felt the same a out A man called Ove.

This murder mystery with a ghost story and some world war II history mixed in was pretty good!

I listened to the audio and was engrossed. Not the best dystopian novel ever, but it did make me feel uncomfortable.

I loved this! My favorite C.J Tudor book so far. I guessed a few of the 'twists', but it was still enjoyable.

Some might consider this book longer than it needed to be to tell it's story, but I loved every page.

Not as good as the first book. It dragged here and there and I found Wade annoying in the first few chapters.
