Pickpick

There‘s just something about R.L. Stine that brings me back to my childhood. I remember borrowing the Fearstreet books from my middle school library, and scaring the pants off myself while reading them. Such fun to revisit them! This one has a slasher scary sort of vibe to it. Loved every second!

tracey38 Loved reading Fearstreet in middle school, too! 5y
TheQuietQuill Such fun nostalgia 😎 @tracey38 5y

A little Fear Street with breakfast! Finished this one, #8 from my stack. One more to go! I'm thinking about grabbing some Christopher Pikes after this, maybe the Remember Me series.

Caroline2 Ohhhhhhhhhhhh I loved the Remember Me series!! 😍 7y

Mehso-so

A while back I decided to reread all my R.L. Stine books from my childhood. It's been really fun. They're not great literature but they're cute and ridiculous and funny. This weekend I've been using them as palate cleansers after heavy/serious books in the readathon. #24in48

Alschager What one is your favorite still to this day? 8y
MaleficentBookDragon I'm doing the same thing with a couple of my tween series. 8y
erinreads Did you know there are new Fear Street books out now? I wonder if they're just as campy and amazing, hahaha. (edited) 8y
melrailey @erinreads yes - R.L. Stine is still going strong. @Alschager I don't know the answer. They'd all ran together in my memory and are just now standing apart as I reread them. I am very upset as I didn't remember there being trilogies. I finished book one of a trilogy and have book three but have lost book two somewhere along the way. @MaleficentTheBookDragon it's really fun! I might have to check out The Babysitters Club once I finish these. 8y
RadicalReader @melrailey I love R L Stein he is incredible love his books they're so enjoyable and fun reads and creepy 8y
