Let‘s try this event for Valentine‘s Day! Sign up using the Google form linked below. When you sign up, provide a link to a list of books you want to read. CSeydel When you get your match, you will make a post with 5 “hidden” books: 4 chosen from their list, and one surprise book that you recommend. DO NOT SHARE TITLES. Include 3-5 words/phrases describing the book. Eg, “Classic sci-fi; Chunkster; Film adaptation” could point to DUNE. Try not to be too obvious but give enough info to make a choice. 3d

CSeydel When your match posts your blind date candidates, you choose one based on the descriptions, and then they reveal the title. Everyone reads their blind date book over Valentine‘s Day weekend (or anytime in February). 3d

I was thinking of hosting a #BlindDateWithaBook event in February - any interest?

Here‘s how it works. First - it‘s NOT A SWAP. More like the Trapped in a Spooky House game. You share a TBR list, and your match chooses 5 books from that list for you to pick from. Your match does NOT share the titles, but just some key facts, like genre, themes, etc. You choose your book “blind” and then your match reveals the title, and you read it. Who‘s in?

CSeydel @Faranae I feel you! If you really want to join, you have a couple of options. You can just let them choose from the list of 1000+ and see how it goes. Or you can make a list with 100 or so that you‘re more interested in reading right now, and share that link. 2d

Characters felt realistic. The family & Margaret's friendship with Diane made everything feel alive.

I loved how oppressive atmosphere was: Margaret & Casey were living alone with their father and he was acting strangely and I could feel their anxiety.

This was pretty straightforward story.
