A Psy-Changeling novel from the New York Times bestselling author of Shards of Hope, Shield of Winter, and Heart of Obsidian..."the alpha author of paranormal romance" (Booklist).Max Shannon is a good cop, one of the best in New York Enforcement. Born with a natural shield that protects him against Psy mental invasions, he knows he has little chance of advancement within the Psy- dominated power structure. The last case he expects to be assigned to is that of a murderer targeting a Psy Councilor's closest advisors. And the last woman he expects to compel him in the most sensual of ways is a Psy on the verge of catastrophic mental fracture...

I liked this one a lot, maybe because there was more story not about the couple. We got to revisit Sascha and Faith as well as learning about Max and Sophia. Also, the overarching plot seems to be coming to a head finally. I see on goodreads that this wasn‘t a popular book in the series, so I guess I‘m just contrary. 🤷🏻‍♀️👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼1/2

Day 6: Favourite book or favourite bookish friend | #melandprireadathon
So this is Janhvi, she is the one who introduced me to reading books. So this is my bookish best friend reading my favourite book, Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh from Psy-Changeling series. This is like the top series that I always recommend and I'm doing so today too!

Continuing through my reread, this was the least favourite of the series. However! During this read I enjoyed it more than I did previously.

The dynamics between Max and Sophia are beautiful, and the reunion at the end gets me every time ❤

I still prefer the others, but Bonds of Justice has a beauty all of its own 🙂💕📚

Moonpa Nalini Singh is wonderful! Love her books! 7y

melissanorr I loved this book though I know other readers did not. 7y
Bookworm54 @melissanorr I think it's my least favourite so far, but that in no way means I don't like it :) I also love Tangle of Need which others didn't. 7y
melissanorr Yes, I know some readers who really disliked Tangle of Need as well. I didn't love it but I didn't hate it either. I was kind of "meh" on that one :) 7y
