The Supervillain and Me
The Supervillain and Me | Danielle Banas
As witty as it is heartpounding, this fresh take on the beloved superhero genre is all about finding your own way to shine even when it seems everyone else around you is, well... super. Never trust a guy in spandex. In Abby Hamiltons world, superheroes do more than just stop crime and save cats stuck in treesthey also drink milk straight from the carton and hog the television remote. Abbys older brother moonlights as the famous Red Comet, but without powers of her own, following in his footsteps has never crossed her mind. That is, until the citys newest vigilante comes bursting into her life. After saving Abby from an attempted mugging, Morristons fledgling supervillain Iron Phantom convinces her that hes not as evil as everyone says, and that their city is under a vicious new threat. As Abby follows him deeper into their citys darkest secrets, she comes to learn that heroes cant always be trusted, and sometimes its the good guys who wear black. Chosen by readers like you for Macmillan's young adult imprint Swoon Reads, The Supervillain and Me is a hilarious, sweet, and action-packed novel by debut author Danielle Banas that proves no one is perfect, not even superheroes. Praise for The Supervillain and Me from the Swoon Reads community: "Action, comedy, romance, you name it, this book has got it! The only suggestion I have for improvement is that it needs to be published then made into a film so that I can sit in a cinema and squeal like the pathetic fangirl that I am. Love it!!" KayleyKing, reader on SwoonReads.com "A perfect blend of adventure, humor, and romance. Definitely one of my favorite stories!" Sarah Metcalfe, reader on SwoonReads.com "An amazingly original novel with relatable, humorous characters and realistic depictions of experiences and events. The writing is wonderful and every chapter has you hooked for more." Parzaval11235, reader on SwoonReads.com

1. Last March when I went to California I took a laminated cutout of my cat. She went everywhere.
2. A girls brother is a superhero and then the super villain saves her life.
3. YA Fantasy and just really Fantasy with some Romance
4. Overcast and in the high 50s or 60s.
5. Work and Work.

I woke up at 4:30 this morning sick as a dog so today is a sick day for me. I‘ll be reading more of the tagged book, which I am really enjoying, and watching The Greatest Showman.

I‘ve settled on this one tonight, but I‘ll probably change my mind. I do like the tag line though. “Never trust a guy in spandex”

I have no idea what to read next!! I know I need to finish like three or four different ones, but I‘m really leaning towards the tagged book.

BarbaraTheBibliophage I‘d sort them by pub date and read the one published the longest time ago. But that‘s not always the fun way to choose! 7y
