'Five star gold! Inspiring, uplifting, and raw in its intensity' RT Book Reviews 'No one lays open the heart and soul quite like New York Times bestselling author Mia Sheridan . . . her stories will make you weep , but you'll be smiling through your tears' Amazon reviewer From the moment she met Callen Hayes, eleven-year-old Jessica Creswell knew he was a broken prince. Her prince. They became each other's refuge, a safe and magical place far from their troubled lives. Until the day Callen kissed her . . . and then disappeared from her life without a word. Years later, everyone knows who Callen Hayes is. Famous composer. Infamous bad boy. What no one knows is that Callen's music is now locked deep inside, trapped behind his own inner demons. Then he stumbles into the one person who makes the music return. Jessica. Who still sets his blood on fire. But they don't belong in each other's worlds anymore. There are too many mistakes. Too many secrets. Too many lies. All they have is that instinctive longing, that need, the one that's beginning to feel dangerously like love . . . Mehso-so

Ugh this is the first time I wasn‘t sucked into a Mia Sheridan story! This one just didn‘t seem to find its groove for me. I love a second chance at romance tropes and this one seemed like it was going to be great but it fizzled on execution. #100readchallenge #romantsy #readingchallenge2022

Mehso-so

I have a definite romance kink: bad boy/ good girl and this book should have been totally my thing, but it was way too ...I dunno....Callen and Jessica meet as children, share one sweet kiss and then don‘t see each other until a decade later when they meet, by accident, in Paris. She remembers him; he doesn‘t remember her. It was just all a bit treacle-y. Or maybe my days for romance are now behind me.

Pickpick

This is an emotionally complex read that is told with past, present transitions & it is divided into 3 parts. I just loved the story that unfolded between Callen & Jessica when they were children then adults. In addition to an amazing story between these characters there was a historical fiction element told through a diary that had a great feel of mystery and historical importance. ....Full review at www.thegenreminx.com #TheGenreMinxBookReviews
