My birthday read! About to get started!

Oh my goodness! This one had me crying at the end!

This one has been on my TBR for a while and finally got to it. It‘s an easy to read historical romance with interesting characters.

3.5/5 ⭐️ started out slow with character building but picked up as it went and the characters were established. I wasn‘t a fan of the narrator so that probably contributed to half a star being deducted 😂 if you are a fan of family dramas this one fits the bill.

Thus audiobook was so good! Highly recommend!

Kept me guessing!

I‘m curious what other people thought of this one. I am listening to it (80% thru) and was ready for it to be over about 3 hours ago. It just drags on. The story and writing are both good, so don‘t dislike it but it is too depressing to be a 20 hour book. Lol I actually had to stop and read something else before picking it up again.

This was the first book I‘d read by Mia Sheridan. I loved her writing and the story was unique. Definitely a pick for me!

This is a really cute children‘s book by a new author. She contacted me to sell it in my bookstore and I gladly said yes! My store link is in my profile if you are interested in getting a copy.

Loved it… but I wanted the happily ever after.

This was an unusual read for me. The main characters are gamers turned gaming creators. I‘m not a gamer so that part didn‘t appeal to me. However, the friendships narrative through the years is what kept me going. It‘s just barely a pick for me but if you are a gamer or interested in creating games, it will probably be much more appealing for you to live in their world through this book.

My latest audiobook did not disappoint.

If you like historical fiction this is a great read. Based loosely on a federal case in Montgomery, AL in the 70s regarding unauthorized sterilization of poor, black and/or disabled women, and the people who had the courage to address it.

While I‘m not generally interested in behind the scenes lives of actors, I did enjoy the audio version of this book. It was read by the author so that added to the authenticity. I honestly didn‘t even know who Jeannette McCurdy was, but kept hearing good reviews and how honest the writing was so I decided it was worth a shot. Her mother was a piece of work.

Spicy, second chance, Christmas romance!

Such a cute little Christmas romance with Hallmark vibes 🎄♥️

This is the follow-up to It Ends With Us. While I really enjoyed reading this continuation I wasn‘t as engaged as I was in IEWU. Still a good read and a pick for me!

This was a 4-star read. TJR did not disappoint.

Just heart wrenching! I love that Lale and Gita found love in the most awful of circumstances. And, that their love and friendship gave them just enough hope to keep them going day to day in the midst of the nightmare they were living.

I‘ve seen a lot of mixed reviews, but it was a pick for me. If nothing else it makes you think about your life choices and how they not only affect you but others. I‘ve seen derogatory comments about it sounding like a self help book, but the MC is a philosopher (of sorts) so it feels more like her coming to her own realizations to me.

I love the vibrant cover! The narrator was great and the story kept me interested but the writing isn‘t great and the f-bomb was grossly overused with most every character. I don‘t care for edge of your seat suspense so I was okay with it only being mildly suspenseful, but I felt the story fell short of it‘s potential.

Some marriages can weather a Category 5 hurricane… some can‘t!

Maybe it‘s just me… but this wasn‘t my favorite of her books. From the beginning I felt like it was a little off. The storyline was good, but it lacked the can‘t-put-down factor that her books normally have. I usually finish her books in a day or two - I read this one over the whole week. 3.5 ⭐️

A love story and mystery all in one. Emma and Leo‘s relationship is built on lies and dark secrets of Emma‘s past.

A whole lot like The Love Hypothesis. Still an enjoyable listen.

This would make a cute movie, but in my opinion the book was unnecessarily wordy and long.

Two words: spicy 🌶 RomCom 😆

3.5 - this was a fun romantic adventure story. There was a hidden treasure hunt, horseback riding, betrayal and love.

I love this cover! It took me a little bit to get adjusted to the narrators voices in this audio - for some reason they didn‘t seem to fit my vision. Lol. CoHo sure knows how to tug on your heart and sting your eyes.

A fun audiobook. Mostly humorous and light, with a few emotional punches thrown in to balance it out. #funsummerread

3/5 ⭐️ I saw so many wonderful reviews on this book. My review reflects the fact that I am not a lover of Greek mythology. There were also so many names that I couldn‘t keep up with who was who so I got bogged down in that a little bit. The story of the main characters was great and sad. All the emotions. This book reminds me of the Proverbs about pride coming before the fall 😞

I‘ve been on a kick with books about books/authors/book lovers. This one switched it up a little and it was refreshing but still had the happily ever after that we all want in this kind of book! 💜

Yesterday I had a half day in-person shopping event at my (mostly online) bookish boutique and this was the “Blind Date With a Book” display I made to add a little fun! It was a hit!

Book 2 of the Bellinger Sisters. I liked this one better than the first one. If you like a good spicy 🌶 RomCom that will tug at your heartstrings… this should do it!

Meh. I thought I‘d like this one more. It was good, but not great.

Read this on kindle - now I want the book!💖

This is a fun #romcom in audio.

First book I‘ve read by this author. I don‘t generally pick time travel books but I enjoyed this one.

The chemistry and banter made this one a fun read!

I finally finished this one today. I never felt vested nor bonded with the characters. I was curious how things were going to pan out but in parts it was really slow and felt like the author was just trying to put a bunch of scientific and research information in there without really rounding it out. It just didn‘t flow well to me. I‘d never heard of black cake before so that part was interesting. This one was just a miss for me.

I love this cover! It is so pretty and summery. My next kindle read!
