Ignoring the fact I read the series in the wrong order due to not being able go get a copy of the first book until last, this was a great novel. It portrays the first RE game so well and I loved the puzzles and action, though I do wish the fight scenes were more detailed. I loved Jill as usual, she's so brave and badass. 4/5 🌟

1. I remember reading the Resident Evil book series back in the 90s. They were actually pretty good, better than the movies that came later.
2. No, not if they're done by professional writers.
3. Blinx The Time Sweeper. It's an obscure XBox game from the early 2000s that I played obsessively for about 3 months. Fun sci-fi story about time travel and fixing glitches in time.

Huge fan of Resident Evil, I'm going to really enjoy this book series when I get around to reading it.

I like the movies with Milla Jovovich but I'd love it if they remade them and stuck to the original story from the games, it completely revamped and put it's own spin on the zombie genre. 🧟‍♂️

I finished this last night, but forgot to review it! Oops.

🐍 Wonderfully written.
🐍 Splendidly atmospheric.
🐍 There‘s extra scenes & plot twists not found in the games, adding more intrigue to an already twisted story.
🐍 ‘Tis a tad bit cheesy, but I think it adds to the charm.
🐍 My only gripe is that it doesn‘t include Lisa Trevor, from the GameCube remake.
🐍 Overall it‘s a fantastic novelisation of original video game.

Time for the next book in the series. This is the novelisation for the original Resident Evil game that was released on the PSOne, so no Lisa in this.
