The Edge of the World
The Edge of the World | Kevin J. Anderson
5 posts | 4 read | 3 to read
Terra Incognita - the blank spaces on the map, past the edge of the known world, marked only by the words "here be monsters." Two nations at war, fighting for dominion over the world, pin their last hopes of ultimate victory on finding a land out of legend. Each will send its ships to brave the untamed waters, wild storms, sea serpents, and darker dangers unseen by any man. It is a perilous undertaking, but there will always be the impetuous, the brave, and the mad, willing to leave their homes to explore the unknown. Even unto the edge of the world...

The two CDs arrived in today‘s post. Each accompanies book one and two respectively. I can‘t wait to read this epic fantasy series about maps and ships and pirates, while listening to the music!

I met Kevin J Anderson at a Con last year and he was super supportive of writers and authors!

#BookHaul #Pirates #Maps #Fantasy

From attending a ComicCon last year and sitting in on Kevin J Anderson‘s talk, he shared the plot of his nautical book, which totally seemed up my alley; pictured here. I found a copy at #SHPL used book store!

And found another children‘s pirate book to add to the shelf! 🏴‍☠️

Unfortunately, my poor book ran into a few disasters during this trip. It was puked on, had half a bottle of orange Fanta leak into it and a wet towel soak through the bottom edge of the binding. I‘ll be keeping an eye out for a replacement from now on. :(

CouronneDhiver Good gracious. Yep, time for a new one 6y
Lizpixie Yeesh. Once a book has been puked on, it‘s officially time to call in the undertaker before adopting a better copy. RIP my papery friend⚰️😢 6y

Pickpick

All I could remember about this book was that I really enjoyed it. I‘m happy to say that the opinion holds true, years later. I have the sequel with me, so I‘ll be starting that immediately.

I read this and the next book in the trilogy probably 6 or 7 years ago. I want to finally get through the entire series but I can‘t remember anything about the first 2 books so I‘m rereading. Absolutely nothing is coming back to me as I‘m reading this first one so I‘m counting these as new reads. That‘ll be 3 more for Mount TBR!
