I used to think this was fiction.

I‘m back from a bit of a break from reading. I‘d like to say that I was too busy doing important things but really it‘s because the new Animal Crossing came out. 😬🤣
But now I‘m trying to make it a point to read on my lunch break so I won‘t go so long without reading. So fingers crossed this works lol 😁
After reading a little on my lunch break today I looked at Pinterest and this so happened to pop up on my feed 😬
At least it goes with the theme 🤣
Finally getting to sit back and read some more of 1984. I‘m enjoying the book so far, however, it is a little alarming at how much our some aspects of our society reflects that of the dystopian Oceania. 😬
Okay so apparently I went on a 10 month reading slump. 😬
During this slump I totally lost track of where I was in my reading for other books so it‘s looking like I‘m going to start fresh!
Starting with a new book! 😁

Reading this as the new HK-China extradition law is being debated. “He who control the present control the past - He who controls the past controls the future” Food for thought.
How could you communicate with the future? It was of its nature impossible. Either the future would resemble the present, in which case it would not listen to him, or it would be different from it, and his predicament would be meaningless.
Rereading this again while reading and watching The Man In The High Castle. Not sure if it‘s my age and cynicism showing plus the combination TMITHC but this reading I‘m looking at Julia as a tool of the Ministry, leading Winston to traitorous acts in order to re-educate and destroy him.
A few of my Orwell‘s. All time favourite books is Nineteen Eighty-Four. I love it. My father in law gave me the other 3 and there are more on the way. Can‘t wait to get stuck in!
