Really enjoyed this one. Was expecting a much steamier read for a historical romance with BDSM elements (and there was some, yes). Fun marriage of convenience story. Will happily read more by her.

Archer is looking for a wife and wants to keep it as businesslike as possible. Unfortunately he stumbles upon Poppy. She can see through to him and get him out of his shell but can Archer really show Poppy where his true desires lie? Oh, this book. It beautifully handles some very sensitive material and during a period romance no less. I will be checking out the other work by this author. #romantsy

Not your typical brain candy romance, but well written and with interesting characters. Poppy Cavendish is a decidedly modern woman in 18th century England, but that is part of her charm. Just be aware: if your taste in romances runs to chaste stories, this is not for you.

This is not your mama's romance novel. First of all,it Doesn't end when the characters get married. I'd call that the 2/3rds point. Also, the female character is super assertive business owner. Both characters are well developed and their sex life is fun.

LOVED this book and I highly recommend if you enjoy Victorian Era romance. The heroine is a botanist, and this new author (this being her first published novel!) has definitely done her research. ❤️

Peri and I just got back from meeting a friend and her pup for a walk at the muggy and mosquito infested nature park. Not the most pleasant walk. Looking forward to some reading time.

This one is a debut novel and its not your typical historical romance. It does have BDSM elements but its the circuitous courtship between Archer and Poppy that kept my attention. I definitely would recommend this one plus the cover is just gorgeous😍
