I couldn‘t put this book down, it‘s action filled romantic suspense, romantic comedy, bad ass heroine, polite and British hero with diverse characters and plot.
The Wallflower Wager is part of Girl Meets Duke series and I think this one cements the series as memorable, adorable, funny, socially relevant and most of all female empowering. I loved the humorous cameos played by the other characters from the previous books. I applaud the way Penny was able to get her own power back from a past that was too heartbreaking.
The first in Alisha Rai‘s Modern Love series, a little bit different from her previous novels, the over all tone is lighter although it still has some social issues mixed within the main plot. I liked it a lot!
This was great rom com and the pages just flew! Rachel and Sebastian definitely stole my heart. Sweet, funny, definitely sexy and just heartwarming!
Maya Rodale's Some Like It Scandalous is one of those books that I had a hard time putting down. It plays on a lot of tropes, like the pretend/arranged marriage and enemies to lovers but it also manages to put its own unique spin on it, not to mention a gender swap on images put up in front of society! Daisy and Theo are absolutely adorable, their witty dialogue and endless bantering will definitely make you laugh and swoon!
This story is full of witty banter and steamy chemistry between the leads but its also not the usual lighthearted romantic comedy that Ms. Layne is known for. In fact, this one has a more serious tone, most reminiscent of her New Adult romances, which resulted in a bittersweet and poignant romance between two people who appear the opposite of each other but definitely is made for one another.

An offshoot of another series, The Rogue of Fifth Avenue features Frank Tripp and Mamie Greene, two characters divided by social class with a common interest that drives them together. I really love how Ms. Shupe manages to give historical facts and seamlessly weaves it into the story making The Rogue of Fifth Avenue a great love story for the Gilded Age.
I love this because it truly felt like Esme and Khai were real people dealing with different things in their lives but manages to come together in ways that truly mattered
If you have ever wanted to read a paranormal shifter story with romantic elements that is female empowering, gritty and primal and just makes sense in every possible way, Forever Wolf is the book! I totally adore the series and would always recommend it but only if thinking out of the fictional trope box is your thing🥰
I really love Penny Reid‘s writing, her characters are quirky adorable although Motion ends in a cliffhanger, Mona and Abram are enough reasons to keep reading the whole series!
I basically just loved it and could not put it down. Even if I break it down to what elements in the story makes it special, in the end its how its all put together by the talented Ms. Peckham that makes The Earl I Ruined a fantastic read.
If all men loved their wives the way I love Anne, we would be a useless lot. Or maybe the world would know peace. Maybe the wars would end, and the strife would cease as we centred our lives on loving and being loved.
If you could invite 5 people, living or dead, for dinner, who would it be? A question Sabrina Nielsen answered in college and for some reason, those same 5 people show up for her 30th birthday dinner. Now it‘s up to her to find out why and along the way discover things about herself she never really knew
This one is a debut novel and its not your typical historical romance. It does have BDSM elements but its the circuitous courtship between Archer and Poppy that kept my attention. I definitely would recommend this one plus the cover is just gorgeous😍
I cannot get enough of this series! I thought the first book, The Last Wolf was fantastic with its original world building and quite intense characters and unique plot but Wolf Apart takes it on another level. Elijah‘s loneliness for his home and pack and his inevitable isolation just leaps of the pages. There is an overarching plot but each book can be read as a standalone. Next book please!
This is the final book in one of my favourite series. Lauren Layne has captured that sudden magic when nest friends suddenly sees themselves as something more. It was perfect and for fans of the series, a bit bittersweet since it is a farewell as well for series.
Funny, witty, poignant and erotic are words that describe this romance! Loved this one❤️
“I don't want just a night or a week or a month with you. I want you all the time. I like you better than calculus, and math is the only thing that unites the universe.”
So I totally fell in love with the cover of this book first and of course loved the modern twist on the Alice in Wonderland theme. Every one of the characters has traits that would lead to guessing which original Wonderland personality they are plus the romance is fantastic as well😍
Loved this one, it was equally sexy, funny, sweet with a female protagonist who didn‘t immediately fall for the almost perfect hero. I‘m not in love with the cover though, maybe it should have feature The Hamptons since it‘s mostly set there.
It‘s a rom com marathon for me and this one is all out funny and sexy and sweet. An enemies to hot and heavy lovers romance this one had me laughing with all the crazy antics the warring neighbours had up their sleeves!
This one is more suspense thriller than romance, nail biting edge of your seat tension! The twisty plot will have you guessing how it all ends.

First time I‘ve read a book by this author. Never knew this was one of those books that I would really like. Besides the role reversal, the female lead really kicks ass and there is an ongoing mystery that will probably get closure in succeeding books. Those are my personal romantic catnips!
“How ironic that when they‘d been married, she‘d never thought of growing old with him. Yet now, years after the annulment, she should think of it with the yearning of an exile, for the homeland that had long ago evicted her.”

So this one started out slowly and the dialogue between Isabel and Callum reflected it as well. But as the story progressed you can actually feel these two loosening up to each other from their interactions with each other. It‘s one of those stories that the more you keep reading the more your interest is caught.
I really liked this one. Although it had a lot of themes going on it was a great mix that made me enjoy reading it.
“Some loves are like a fire, and they burn from the first spark.” By her knowing eyes, she understood what he meant without additional context. “Our love, it‘s a tree, and you‘ve been watering it for years. Dalena is and always will be my first love. But you, Pru… fate willing, you will be my last.”
Reading this while watching Van Helsing, somehow the mythology/world building are kind of similar
When you stay up late to finish the book, definitely gets a great review. I cannot get enough of Ms. Charlotte Holmes
Poetry is one of those things I either like or not, this one is definitely falling in the like category. Each word paints a picture of emotions that just hits you right in the gut.
So this one is the last in Ruthie Knox's New York Series and it also connects with her first book, About Last Night (favorite!) I just really loved Completely it definitely stands a little bit differently from Ms. Knox's other works.
Another weekend read! This was one had great reviews as well and so worth it! A very unique take on the beauty and the beast/marriage of convenience trope, this dialogue driven romance captures a witty, humorous and poignant tale about superficial appearances and what truly matters in Life and love. Emma is definitely a different historical romance heroine and Ash is clearly a different type of hero as well. Truly delightful page turner!
The long weekend has been a way to catch up finally on my reading. This new release from Marc Levy is a great start. A successful actress and a publicity shy novelist starts out as strangers, begin the journey as friends and ends up as more than that when they are in Seoul. Along the way they also find the courage to truly become themselves. It's a dialogue driven romantic comedy that will keep you laughing, thinking and smiling till the end😊
Penny Reid constantly surprises the reader with the depth of her characters and her stories. Shelly and Beau are no exceptions. For me they are as real as you or me. Beard in Mind is one book that you definitely should read.
This one took me by surprise. Complex and multilayered protagonists, Jane and Crispin will definitely shove aside preconceived notions of how a historical romance should unfold. A truly fantastic book.
Nina George's writing really makes you want to explore France.
“I don‘t need a grown man baby right now,” she continued. “I need someone who is trained. Someone who can understand my brother and his thought processes. And someone who‘s going to give me good advice and support so I don‘t die in the middle of some godforsaken island. I need freaking John Cena. So unless you can provide those things, kindly shut up.”
It's a little known book by Joey W. Hill but it's actually quite good, a little dark, paranormal romance.
Whenever Penny Reid comes out with a new book, my TBR pile is suddenly forgotten but when I finished Dating-ish, I don't think I can get over it quickly. My poor TBR pile! I adored this book Marie and Matt are just so very good!
Wonderful story and now for the hard part of choosing something else to read
This book had me laughing until the last page!😂😂😂 Adie is that female lead that you want to be like, absolutely no filter!
Ms.Thomas' take on Sherlock Holmes is simply amazing!
