I really like this series and this reminded me of some of the theatre-set Inspector Alleyn mysteries - and that‘s always nice. Amory and Milo‘s relarionship continues to be intriguing although I hope there‘ll be some progress/development in the next book in the series.
1930s cozy mystery where a wife and husband team solve murders. Book 5 in the Amory Ames series and this time the crime is committed in a London theater. Not my favorite installation so far but the whole series is light and fluffy. A great palate cleanser for me between darker reads. Although...it does involve murder so maybe I need to re-evaluate what I consider light vs. dark reading material.
I am pretty pumped that this hold finally arrived. Here we go!
I love book mail! Looking forward to digging into these mysteries. #cozymystery #historicalmystery #bookmail #ilovecozies #mysterybooks #noodleshopmysteries
This mystery series, set in 1930s London, centers around Amory Ames, a socialite, who inevitably finds herself (usually along with her husband Milo) helping the police solve murder cases. I ❤️ the ease and smoothness of Weaver‘s writing, and these stories just keep getting better and better. I could make a literary meal out of Amory and Milo‘s complex relationship and scenes together alone...no mystery needed! Dark twists here. Great plot! 4.5/5⭐️
Great first line...and vintage Amory Ames. 😊👍❤️
It‘s always a special thrill to be able to get your hands on an ARC of the next adventure in a favorite series, and that‘s what this book is to me! 😊❤️🕵🏻♀️🕵🏻♂️ A new murder mystery for Amory and Milo to solve? Bring it on!

I‘ll be reviewing this fully for Shelf Awareness. But I enjoyed it! I‘ve read one other in the series - A Most Novel Revenge (which I liked a little better). But Amory and Milo are still a fantastic couple, and the mystery was fairly interesting. #jesshowreads2018
