This book had had multiple parts, which were all connected. Each section is something different happening in Stephen life, until he slowly starts to lose it. Stephen says he is perfectly sane it‘s his aspects who aren‘t. His aspects are hallucinations that were originally voices in his head; he was taught to turn them into hallucinations. Stephen solves mysteries for a living, not ordinary ones, there full of adventures and twist. (1/2)

This is the first book by Sanderson that I've read, but I enjoyed it. It took a little bit to get into Leeds' character, but once I understood how his relationship worked with his "aspects" I really got down to enjoying the mystery part of the stories. I'll definitely try more of Sanderson's writing in the future. 4 ????

This collection of short stories combine to form a fascinating psychological thriller. I started to wonder how much was all in Stephen‘s head vs how much was real. I think it could‘ve benefited from being formatted as one longer story, thus giving us more time to connect to his aspects on a deeper level. As it is, it‘s still definitely an enjoyable book and I think it would make for a great graphic novel or tv series.

Stephen Leeds can learn any subject in a matter of hours. To keep himself sane, he creates a new personality to manifest that new expertise. As he reminds himself, sanity is a relative thing. Having an entourage of imaginary people following him can be challenging (he has over 50), but he's willing to pay the price for the abilities it gives him. Fascinating exploration of psychoses and genius and fun action mysteries to put them on display.

The third and final story did not disappoint! I would have liked it if the part about -spoiler- was explained in more detail, but overall this was a great conclusion to Legion. #netgalley #legion

I‘m seriously wondering if Brandon isn‘t describing a writer here. It‘s not quite being schizophrenic but you create whole people with lives and so on. I was hoping it would be more fleshed out but it‘s a collection of 3 novellas.

Brandon Sanderson's new trio of novellas tells the story of a man who uses his hallucinations to help him solve crimes and mysteries. The whole premise of this is fascinating and I'm glad I got to read them all together for the first time, since the first two novellas have been out for a while. As always, it's beautifully written and there's a shocking amount of character development in such a short work. Truly amazing.

I got this to review (and am a little late getting to it). I read it all in one go this evening -- I'd read the first novella before, but not the second (and obviously not the third). The mysteries are fun, and I love the idea of Stephen's abilities.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about the ending of the final novella, though...

Despite having already listened to the first two, I happily spent a credit to pick up the collection of all of Sanderson‘s Legion books so I can listen to The Eye of the Beholder. Glad I did. Such a great character and some of the best work by Oliver Wyman, one of my favorite narrators. Sad to see this story coming to and end. Also was excited to see a new novella in Peter V Brett‘s completes Demon Cycle came out read by Xe Sands. #audiobooks

I have read several of Brandon Sandersons books & short stories and the Legion ones are among my favorites. The concept peeked my interest and Sandersons fast-paced writing style pulled me in. I am looking forward to reading the new story in this series.
