The Time to Kill
The Time to Kill | Mason Cross
3 posts | 3 read | 1 to read
It's been five years since Carter Blake parted ways with top-secret government operation Winterlong. They brokered a deal at the time: he'd keep quiet about what they were doing, and in return he'd be left alone. But news that one of Blake's old allies, a man who agreed the same deal, is dead means only one thing - something has changed and Winterlong is coming for him. Emma Faraday, newly appointed head of the secret unit, is determined to tie up loose ends. And Blake is a very loose end. He's been evading them for years, but finally they've picked up his trace...

Friday, phew, so after a busy week catching up on litsy, liking posts, and reviwing my weeks reading. I love relaxing into a page turning thriller and this series is perfect, in this book carter blake finds his past catching up with him with some nasty villains trying to eliminate him. And what's not to like about a fight in a train carriage!

Crazeedi Sounds good!! 5y

So far, I have really enjoyed Mason Cross' Carter Blake series. Winterlong is my favorite one of the series. You finally get a few solid pieces to Carter Blake's backstory, and know why he's been running from Winterlong for the past 5 years. Solid plot, great action, you can almost feel the cold, and Cross really knows how to write a fight scene. Well written and enjoyably narrated, I would highly recommend this entire series.

TK421 I also have a series of childrens books in my head. The main character is Ricky Rabbit. It is kind of a mix between Peter Rabbit and the Expendables. 5y
QueenJen @TK421 I'd read that! 5y
TK421 @QueenJen I've been telling my kids these Ricky Rabbit stories for years. My daughter is working on character design so we can do a small illustrated book together. 5y
