One of the characters is a struggling writer of a mystery series and he quotes his main character at other people and it‘s so embarrassing. 🤦‍♂️

My current read + another recently purchased Valancourt book (I‘ve read two stories and am about to read a third, so far I love it!) + Geek Love, which aside from the new ones was the first book that popped into my head for its distinctive #orange cover.

Very excited about this Valancourt book I received in the mail today! Love the orange cover and blurb “it will grow on you.” Fungi are amazing and also have so much horror potential so I‘m looking forward to this! 🍄☠️

There's some brutal scenes in this, don't read if you're squeamish; it's just ultra-violent at times. 😝

It reminded me of a lot of other stuff too - like I think this author was influenced by The Day of the Triffids, it just reminded me of that novel.
