2 posts
The Ultimate Ice Cream Book contains enough recipes to fill your summer days with delicious frozen desserts -- but after acquainting yourself with this book's hundreds of tempting concoctions, you'll want to use it every day of the year. With over 500 recipes, author Bruce Weinstein has put together the most comprehensive cookbook of its kind, covering just about every conceivable flavor of ice cream, sorbet, and granita; dozens of different recipes for shakes, malts, and other cold drinks; how to make your own ice cream cones; and toppings galore. If you ever worried that you might not get full use out of your ice-cream maker, cast your doubts aside. Ice cream recipes feature such unusual flavors as lavender, chestnut, rhubarb, and Earl Grey tea. Even Weinstein's vanilla ice cream is anything but plain, with variations like Vanilla Crunch, Vanilla Rose, and Vanilla Cracker Jack. There is also a plethora of light, refreshing recipes for sorbets and granitas, with flavors like Apple Chardonnay, Coconut, and Kiwi. Top everything off with the author's recipes forhomemade sauces. Whether it's a special event or a midnight snack, The Ultimate Ice Cream Book has what you need to make any occasion a little sweeter.

#SeptemberDanes #day2 #GoodTogether I could‘ve gone the safe route & chosen a book couple for this prompt, but as far as I‘m concerned the best pairing is a good book, a cup of tea & a large bowl of really yummy icecream. Honestly, if it came down to a choice between the hubby & gourmet icecream.... I‘d miss him so much😂 Whats your favourite a.icecream & b.book/food pairing?

vivastory A) Toffee, or caramel. I also love peppermint. B) I'm more of a book/beverage. Coffee, wine, beer. I do occasionally eat popcorn while reading. 6y
queerbookreader If an ice cream does not have peanut butter then it is not the ice cream for me tbh 6y
Cinfhen Hahahaha #sorryHoney I love ice cream but I can‘t eat it, super lactose intolerant 😭😭😭😭😭but I used to love coffee brittle crunch ice cream ~ soooooo yum 😋 6y

Cinfhen That burnt fig flavor sounds heavenly 😇😇😇😇😇 6y
Kalalalatja I love licourice icecream, which is a pretty big think here in Denmark, but also anything with salted caramel 👌 6y
Lizpixie @vivastory a.salted caramel is my favourite flavour for everything with mint close behind b. I used to drink a lot of coffee but had to give it up for health reasons, I‘m limited to 3 cups of black tea a day then it‘s herbal tea, I also had to give up alcohol too😔 @queerbookreader the only PB I like is on a sandwich! @Cinfhen I‘m sorry for your loss sweetie!😱 Seriously though, gourmet icecream is my one vice(the burnt Fig is fabulous!) 6y
Lizpixie @Kalalalatja there‘s a brand here in Oz called Serendipity that does an amazing licorice icecream, plus a lot of artisan ice creameries have it as well. Big hands up for Salted Caramel too!🙌 6y
Rissreads Raspberry and white chocolate! 6y
