Prompt: Detective

I chose this one because I am enjoying the series so much and I love the character of Detective Harry Nelson. He is crusty on the outside but somewhat soft on the inside. He is also fiercely protective of the ones he loves.

Crazeedi Great series!! 3y

#WonderousWednesday

1. I haven‘t read this one yet but I ordered the UK version because its cover is so much prettier than the U.S. one.
2. I think it might be interesting to be friends with Ruth Galloway in the tagged series. Her job is so interesting and she solves mysteries.
3. Know My Name by Chanel Miller

#FriYAYIntro

1. Hot and humid — summer is here!
2. I am a hotel person but I‘ve camped in an RV and it was not bad. I‘ve camped in a tent and I won‘t ever do that again.
3. Most of the books I‘ve read this month have been kind of serious so I‘d choose Ruth Galloway from the Elly Griffiths series. I am reading The Lantern Men now. Her life is complicated but I love how smart she is.
4. Get up a little late, drink a cup of tea, and read

This just makes me sad. Did anyone else use this site to track series reads? You could choose series to track and they‘d show you the books you‘d completed reading and send you an email when a new book was released. I hope I can find something to replace this great service. #Fictfact #seriesreads

robinb I didn‘t even know about this...how cool is that!!! And how sad that it‘s closed! I would have loved this, being a big series fanatic. 😩 (edited) 6y
rather_be_reading this sounded like it was cool 6y
DivineDiana Also unaware of this. I can see how it would be very helpful. Too bad. 6y

TheSpineView I never knew about them but now I wish I had. I wonder if they started a go fund me page they could start up again. I would contribute! 6y
MirandaLeighBee Omg! I would‘ve loved this if I had known about it! 😞 6y
Lynnsoprano That sounds like it would have been something really useful. But you have tagged one of my all time favorite series 😀 6y
cherinium Perhaps it is no longer running because none of us knew about it! 6y
Pamwurtzler @Lynnsoprano I‘ve only read the first one of those but really enjoyed it. 6y
Pamwurtzler @cherinium The image is too small to read the fine print, but they got most of their funding from Amazon. They inadvertently violated one of Amazon‘s rules and got dropped. 6y
ralexist Have you seen anything out there that could replace this? I've been searching and searching and haven't found anything quite as good ☹️😢 5y
Pamwurtzler @ralexist No, I really miss this site and have not found anything comparable. There‘s a goodreads group that‘s talking about trying to replace it, but I‘m not sure how far they‘ll get. 5y

I discovered the Ruth Galloway mysteries and had to read them all! My favorites are in order of reading. If you make me pick my very favorite so far this year, then I'd have to say The Nightingale, with Code Name Verity coming in a close second.
