pickThis was fast paced, twisty, and compelling but also down to earth and believable. I liked the characters-how earnest and engaging they were while still being a little complicated. I don‘t want to say much because going in blind, like I did, may be the best way to experience this mystery. pickI have to admit, I really enjoyed this YA mystery. When his dad embezzles money from the biggest business in town & ruins everyone, Owen‘s life of luxury ends abruptly. He returns home, desperate for answers & concerned for his mother who is getting threatening letters. With an engaging lead & great secondary characters, a plot moving between events in the present & 17 (or so) years earlier, & a twist or two, this is a fun read. Recommended.
