I really wanted to like this series, but I find the bright young things tiresome and boring. I finished it, but this will be the last of the series I read.

Okay, my first shot at doing Bookspin Bingo. Two already checked off.

The second book in this cozy mystery series about the Mitford sisters was delightful. This one centered on Pamela, who is not my fave of the sisters, but it was still a good mystery. Looking forward to what they‘ll do with Diana in the next book…👀
Would have probably put this down if I wasn‘t doing a readathon, but it did start to pick up around the middle. The mystery itself, and the solution, was enjoyable, I just found the high society stuff tiresome - so my review is very much a personal taste bounce rather than a damning indictment.
What an amazing package of goodies!! Thank you so much @Laughterhp - I am so excited to read these books, and absolutely in love with the Beetlejuice socks, the pins, and all the other treats. I may already have lit the candle as well. Happy Halloween!
Thanks also to @wanderinglynn for organizing! #hhs22 #HauntedHollowSwap 🎃🖤🍂📚
Finished my July #doublespin this morning, a few weeks “late,” perhaps. I enjoyed this and felt some Clue vibes as the mystery was resolved.
“Did you telephone anyone up?”
“No,” said Oliver. “I read the telephone directory. I found it most calming.”
I can get behind that. If only phonebooks readily were available at all parties. 😉 This why we should always keep a book on our person at all times! 😂
Currently on Bright Young Dead for both the #decadeschallenge (set in 1920s) and the #tbrdeckofcards (foiled cover). It‘s not really meshing but I‘m almost halfway through.
First book of 2020; finished it four days into the new year; really good series
Jessica Fellowes has written a thrilling historical mystery that bristles with descriptions of the era and society at that time.
This is a bubbly, fizzing, sparkling champagne of a read with believable characters charlston-ing out of the 1920s. Historical fiction with crime, murder and mystery thrown in.
I would like to thank the Author/the Publishers/NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for a fair and honest review
