First in the Rogues to Riches series, this was a good book but just not as great as I normally expect from Burrowes. The story involves a wealthy London banker Quinn Wentworth who is framed and sentenced to death for a murder he didn‘t commit. While awaiting execution, he meets a preacher‘s daughter, Jane Winston, who is a pregnant widow forced to rely on her pious and unfeeling father for her and her child‘s well-being.
